Freeman trading is a company specializing in direct trade of green coffee beans currently from Peru and Bolivia. Our coffee adventures began a number of years ago high in the Andes, where we travelled extensively up and down the highlands in search of exceptional coffees. Working closely with local farmers and cooperatives, we cupped and procured the very finest coffee beans available. Our intentions are as high in quality as our coffee beans. We are not solely driven by profit, we are led by our ethics. We work directly with well established growers and cooperatives such as the San Jorge Co-Op who together small cooperatives form Cecovasa, one of Peru’s leading Coffee Cooperatives. With whom we have forged a partnership based on a long term alliance, trust and fairness. Unlike regular coffee trading companies we agree seasonally on a fair price and stick to it regardless of world price fluctuations. Crucially insuring each of our farmers a guaranteed fixed annual income, offering them some long overdue peace of mind, as well as offering the incentive to ensure that the quality of the coffee bean maintains a high standard. Worth noting is on average organic coffee yields are 40% lower than that of non organic, something we personally feel should be taken into consideration when trading with communities to encourage sustainable methods of farming for today and into the future.
